Lobby arrival area#4

An area where people come to first before entering the event. Just like a reception desk in a real conference.

How do people envision this to be? I would love to hear everyone’s ideas around this, what do you all expect for this feature? Same map or a different map?

I guess similar to the Zoom waiting room area, so that attendees (when admitted), join the event at the same time

If attendees arrive in the lobby, an admin can decide if they should be admitted to the event. That would help with “unwanted attendees”

So you admit them one by one or admit all of them? Can the attendees talk to one another?

The feature of having both options, admitting one by one and admitting all would be useful. Also being able to remove people from the waiting room. I think this feature will help ensuring as many attendees join an event at the same time and allow the host to start the event promptly on time with a higher portion of attendees. In terms of communication, the option for the host to communicate to all would be good (e.g. “The event will open in 2 minutes!”

If attendees in the lobby appeared in a list to admins or event managers, along with their email address, they could have check boxes alongside for individual selection and then actions for admit to event or eject from lobby, and I suppose for completeness, there ought to be an option to “admit all to meeting” or “eject all from lobby”.

Yes I think they should be able to talk while waiting to be admited. I don’t like that it just throws you into a table especially for the speed networking world. I am assigning tables so I don’t want them to auto-assigned to able…. and if we start in Presentation mode it throws everyoen to a table . I would prefer it go to a lobby and then they can go to a table as I realease them a few at time… I could aprove them as needed. Hope that makes sense.

Yea we rolled out pre-maturely to test and get some early looks, we are building the rest of the details now, we had some changes in our process…

We have tried our best to tell you guys before for most features, we have not done this in a while, still trying to deliver for you guys!

@Simon Latter if you are an early adopter (as we all are on here) dont expect everything to be perfect and exactly how you want it as we all have our own perspectives and from a technical perspective, there are always challenges. From a dev standpoint, this platform and the dev team supercedes anything on the market, be appreciate that they even have these open updates and lines of communication. Innovative team and product that will do great things and respond to customer feedback, gamechanger and I hope you can find a way to be adaptable in your business and/or endeavors to make workarounds (communicaton with your customer base) if its not how you feel it should be. All the best in your endeavors Simon and I have no affiliation just respect a strong and scaling team.

@Brent Kisil we are bot early adopters, we’ve been using this platform since March and it is by far the best of the best when it comes to what are clients want, it is just SO FRUSTRATING that they roll out features without telling anyone, we have to work out how it works for ourselves because no info is given out and then just as we het used to it and make it work as there is no function to turn some features on or off, it gets removed with no warning and with are left floating with no paddles

Hey @Simon Latter , super thank you for your support as always. We try our best to keep you guys informed as George has done that through emails on most mid to major features and at success labs. We are about to release a better notification system in the app for this.

We may notify you within the first week of launch as we try to keep shipping, and may have some delays in education materials. It is not perfect but that is where we are at right now.

In terms of removing features, we barely remove features, and when we do it is because we are not ready and we hit bugs. And that is to make sure we have stability in the product. We are working hard for stability, even if it sacrifices a few features.

We are still a young bootstrapped comapny and work in progress company. Thanks for the feedback, and we will get there!

Hi @Hoyin, totally understand young bootstrapped companies. I have lost count of the number of times we have offered to help you and be testers for you and that has fallen on deaf ears.
